Isis Hair Salon is proudly owned and operated by Carrie Banks, a licensed cosmetologist and beauty industry professional with over 30 years of experience in professional hair care, salon management, education, leadership, and luxury beauty services.
Carrie Banks attended Los Angeles Trade Technical College (LATTC) from 1991 to 1993, where she studied cosmetology and quickly became recognized for her leadership and dedication. During her time at LATTC, she served as an ASO Representative for three consecutive semesters and earned recognition as a President Honoree.
While attending LATTC, Carrie founded The Cosmetology Guild, a professional beauty organization created to support cosmetology students and beauty professionals through networking, education, mentorship, and industry development. The organization grew to over 300 members and successfully operated for more than 10 years, becoming a respected network within the beauty community.
Throughout her career, Carrie has worked across multiple areas of the beauty industry including salon management, education, product distribution, celebrity styling, luxury hair care, and international beauty services.
Early in her career, Carrie worked with the band member hairstyling team connected to artist Prince during a professional photoshoot involving Sonny Thompson. She also worked with Cinema Secrets and participated in the Baby Cal Campaign for the State of California.
Carrie later became the West Coast Distributor and Educator for Vviolet Hair Products, where she trained beauty professionals and educated stylists on advanced hair care techniques and professional product usage.
In the 1990s, she also served as a Salon District Manager for the Sterling Beauty Supply chain, helping oversee salon operations and beauty industry development during a major period of growth in professional beauty services.
From 1995 through 2025, Carrie worked extensively with royal families and high-profile clients from Africa, providing luxury hair services both internationally and privately in Beverly Hills residences. Her work required professionalism, discretion, advanced styling expertise, and personalized beauty services for elite clientele.
In 1995, Carrie opened Isis Hair Salon in Los Angeles and continues to own and operate the salon today. What began as a vision for a professional and empowering beauty space has grown into a thriving 20-station salon serving clients throughout Los Angeles and surrounding communities.
Known for her professionalism, leadership, creativity, and healthy hair expertise, Carrie Banks has dedicated decades to helping clients look and feel confident while mentoring beauty professionals and building a respected name in the beauty industry.

Carrie, owner and hairstylist at the eco-friendly Isis Hair Salon, believes in the importance of not only creating fabulous makeovers for her clients but also a passion for excellent hair care, using the latest in oxygen therapy and the best hair care products available. She has over ten dynamic stylists who aid her in finishing beautiful hairstyles and total makeovers for her many clients. Carrie makes it her business policy to ensure the satisfaction of all clientele.
Above all, Carrie has a true passion for beauty. As a result, she always stays on top of trends in the beauty industry. By constantly receiving education, she and her talented styling team offer first-class service and award-winning hairstyles. Isis Hair Salon, established in 1995, is an extension of Carrie's philosophy. It is both trendy and extremely comfortable, leaving the client looking forward to their next visit.
In November of 2016, the once very famous Simply Raw Hair Salon permanently closed their doors and we had the pleasure of welcoming their stylists and esthetician to join our team.
With over 20 years of cosmetology experience, Carrie has become a national and international renowned cosmetologist, consistently servicing the everyday woman, as well as celebrities and international dignitaries.

Carrie has worked on celebrity campaigns as well as an assignment for the State of California. She has also appeared on the television show The Doctors in September of 2013 as one of three hairstylists on a panel with doctors to discuss hair and scalp disorders. Isis makeup artists performed makeovers on various guests for an Ambi event in May 2013. Our 20th anniversary was celebrated in March 2013 by having a hair-o-thon with Organic Root Stimulator as our sponsor offering free products and discounted hair services to the community. Carrie also worked with The Baby Cal campaign featuring Jada Pinkett and Holly Robinson. In October of 2013, the motion picture industry found Isis and filmed scenes for the movie "Beyond the Lights" starring Gugu CMbatha Raw, Minnie Driver, Danny Glover. In theatres in November 2014. Actress Gabrielle Elyse is a regular client and also seen here on our homepage.
